The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations has been postponed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), according to an announcement published on the body’s official website on Thursday.
The tournament was initially scheduled to take place in Morocco from 17 March to 3 April 2026.
However, CAF has now rescheduled the competition to hold from 25 July to 16 August 2026.
In its statement, CAF explained that the decision was taken to ensure the successful organisation of the tournament in light of certain unforeseen circumstances.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria are the defending champions, having won the last edition of the competition, which was also hosted by Morocco.
