Grammy-winning singer Rihanna reportedly left Los Angeles on Monday, just hours after a shooting incident occurred at her residence in Beverly Hills.
The global music star was seen boarding a private jet at Van Nuys Airport, where her luggage was transported in vehicles to the airport’s private terminal before departure.
Authorities have identified Ivanna Lisette Ortiz as the suspect linked to the incident.
Reports indicate that Ortiz was arrested on Sunday after allegedly firing multiple gunshots at the home of the singer and businesswoman.
Police said the suspect arrived at the property in a Tesla while armed with a semi-automatic rifle and discharged about ten rounds toward the house Rihanna shares with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky.
Investigators reportedly discovered four bullet holes in the estate’s gate, while additional rounds struck the garage of a neighbouring home.
Ortiz fled the scene after the shooting but was later apprehended approximately 12 kilometres away, with her vehicle also recovered.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that no injuries were recorded during the incident.
Authorities said Ortiz has now been formally charged with attempted murder, while investigations into the motive behind the attack are ongoing.
