A legal practitioner, Kenneth Okonkwo, has accused the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu of being complicit in criminal activities affecting the country.
Okonkwo made the allegation on Wednesday during a live appearance on Politics Today aired by Channels Television.
He spoke while addressing the ongoing debate over the establishment of state police amid rising insecurity across Nigeria.
According to him, the current administration is unlikely to effectively tackle the issue, alleging that the government continues to politicize security matters.
“So I’m sorry to say this, that the government is now part of the criminal gang that is buying and selling Nigerians.
“The only thing this lame, incompetent, lying and corrupt government know how to do is to politicize everything, including security. That’s why it is metastasizing all over the nation.
“The President is incapable. He doesn’t have enough boots on the ground. You have a lot of ungoverned spaces. Hunger and hardship is increasing. Suffering of people increasing.
“They are easy to be recruited. Criminality is not being punished. Tinubu and his cohorts say they talk to the terrorist nicely to release the ones that they have.
“You can imagine that more than hundreds of people are kidnapped at a time, and they will release the whole 100 and nothing happened,” he said.
