“Who go get Problem, Don’t Take My Money” — Nkechi Blessing Calls Out Actors Over Movie Promotion

Nkechi Blessing Breaks Down on Instagram

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has spoken out against colleagues who collect high fees for film roles but fail to promote the projects afterward.

In a post shared on Instagram, Nkechi didn’t hold back. She said she has no issue with actors charging what they believe they are worth, but the real problem starts when the movie is released, and they go quiet.

According to her, some actors behave as if they worked for free once filming is done, refusing to use their platforms to support the project.

“I am not saying you should not charge 3 million naira to be in my movie, oh yes charge your worth… But you see where me and you go get problem?” she wrote.

She made it clear that promotion is part of the responsibility, especially when an actor has been paid well.

“Na when film come out you act like say na free you come work… to even post movie for your page so your fans can watch, na war,” she added.

Nkechi warned that such situations can lead to serious conflicts, stressing that she expects full commitment from anyone she pays to feature in her films.

“I no dey pluck money from tree… you cannot promote a movie you were paid heavily for,” she said.

Her comments have sparked conversations online, with many agreeing that actors should support projects beyond just appearing on screen, while others argue that promotion should be clearly defined in contracts.

The issue highlights an ongoing debate in Nollywood around expectations, professionalism, and what exactly actors owe a project after they’ve been paid.
