Founder of Omega Fire Ministries, Johnson Suleman, has reacted to the recent attack in Jos, describing it as a reflection of leadership failure.
In a post shared on his social media platform, Suleman criticised public officials, saying political interests are being prioritised over the safety of citizens.
“Jos attack is another sign that leadership is failing,” he said, adding that it shows “leadership that puts politics before protecting people’s lives.”
He further expressed concern that attention is being diverted toward political activities instead of addressing insecurity.
“Instead of wasting our shared heritage on pre-election parties and preparations, future generations will decide whether this leadership now supports, allows, and repeats what it once opposed,” he stated.
Suleman also emphasised that while faith is important, it cannot replace the responsibility of governance.
“I believe in the power of prayers, but prayers alone cannot take the place of responsibility,” he said.
He concluded by expressing solidarity with those affected by the attack, offering prayers and support to families who lost loved ones.
“We support the families who lost their loved ones and pray for strength to face the pain of their loss,” he added.
His comments have added to growing public reactions calling for stronger action to address insecurity in affected regions.
