Céline Dion announces first live shows since 2022

We can’t find any medicine that works – Celine Dion’s sister gives health update

Celine Dion has confirmed her return to the stage with a new residency in Paris, marking her first live performances since 2022.

The “Think Twice” hitmaker, who last appeared in the French capital during the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony, is set to perform a series of shows at the Paris La Défense Arena between September 12 and October 14.

The upcoming concerts will be her first since being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare autoimmune condition that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms.

After years of health challenges, Celine Dion credited the support of her fans for helping her recovery and expressed excitement about returning to the stage.

“Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love. You’ve helped me in ways that I can’t even describe, and I’m truly fortunate to have your support.

“This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life – I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September!

“I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited – obviously a little nervous – but most of all, I’m grateful to all of you! I love you all and I’ll see you soon!”

A pre-sale for tickets will begin on April 7, with general sales opening on April 10.

Promotional posters featuring some of her biggest hits, including The Power of Love and My Heart Will Go On, have already appeared across Paris, building anticipation for the shows.

Dion had previously planned to perform at the same venue in 2020, but the concerts were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and later her health condition, eventually leading to the cancellation of her Courage World Tour.

Revealing her SPS diagnosis in an emotional video on Instagram, she told fans: “Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.” She added: “I’m working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength and my ability to perform again, but I have to admit it’s been a struggle.

“All I know is singing. It’s what I’ve done all my life, and it’s what I love to do the most.”
