“No Camp, No Friendlies” — Ajibade Blasts NFF Over Super Falcons’ WAFCON Preparations

Rasheedat Ajibade Opens Up on Growing Up in Mushin

Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has publicly criticised the Nigeria Football Federation, accusing the body of undermining the team’s preparations for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

According to Ajibade, the team currently lacks basic preparation structures, including an official training camp and confirmed friendly matches, despite major tournaments approaching.

She revealed that what was communicated about a possible camp was informal, with April 11 mentioned without any official announcement or structured plan.

The situation has raised concerns given that the next edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to kick off on July 26, leaving limited time for proper preparation.

Ajibade’s comments highlight growing frustration within the team and shed light on broader issues surrounding the management and development of women’s football in Nigeria.

Her remarks have since sparked conversations among fans and stakeholders, with many calling for urgent action from the football authorities to ensure the Super Falcons are adequately prepared for international competitions.
