“You’re a Clout Chaser” — Anthony Joshua Fires Back at Tyson Fury After Ringside Call-Out

Anthony Joshua Fires Back at Tyson Fury After Ringside Call-Out

British heavyweight rivals Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are back in the spotlight after a heated exchange following Fury’s latest victory.

Fury, who dominated Arslanbek Makhmudov in a one-sided bout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, used the moment to publicly challenge Joshua to a long-awaited showdown.

Fury’s Direct Challenge

Speaking immediately after the fight, Fury called out Joshua, urging him to accept the bout on the spot.

“I want you AJ, Anthony Joshua… Let’s give the fight fans what they want, a battle of Britain. Say yes or no now,” Fury said.

Joshua Refuses Ringside Confrontation

Despite being present at ringside, Joshua declined to step into the ring, a decision that drew mixed reactions from the crowd.

However, he later responded strongly, dismissing Fury’s approach.

“Tyson… you’re a clout chaser,” Joshua said, insisting he has never avoided a fight with Fury.

“I’ve been chasing you for the last 10 years… When you’re ready, come and see me and tell me your terms and conditions.”

Open to the Fight, But On His Terms

Joshua made it clear he remains willing to fight Fury but emphasised that proper negotiations must take place.

“In my heart, I’d fight Fury tomorrow… but there are negotiations you go through. The contract will be sent, we’ll handle the details, and you’ll probably see us in the ring.”

He also rejected the idea of engaging in public theatrics.

“I’m not here to get in the ring shouting in someone’s face. I came to watch the fight, and I know what I need to do.”

Personal Factors at Play

Joshua revealed that he is still dealing with personal matters and recovering from a recent incident, which could affect the timing of his return.

“I was in a serious incident maybe four months ago… I need to check what’s going on with my return. I’m not ducking anyone.”

Still No Date for Mega Fight

The highly anticipated clash between Joshua and Fury has been discussed for over a decade, but has yet to materialise.

While both fighters now appear open to making it happen, fans will have to wait as negotiations and personal considerations determine whether the blockbuster “Battle of Britain” finally becomes a reality.
