“This Case Shouldn’t Be In Court” – Omoyele Sowore Speaks As BLord Files For Bail Amid Clash With VeryDarkMan

Omoyele Sowore Speaks As BLord Files For Bail Amid Clash With VeryDarkMan

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has given a fresh update on the legal situation involving detained crypto entrepreneur BLord and his ongoing dispute with controversial critic VeryDarkMan.

According to Sowore, BLord’s legal team has already filed a bail application, but the police have responded with a counter affidavit, opposing his release.

Speaking on the matter, Sowore made it clear that he believes the situation has been unnecessarily escalated.

“The case should not even have come to court in the first place. We are waiting for the court to give us a date for his bail hearing. BLord is doing very fine,” he said.

He also used the moment to reflect on his past involvement with VeryDarkMan, recalling how he played a role in securing the critic’s release during an incident in 2024.

“If I had not intervened in VeryDarkMan’s situation on Easter Sunday in 2024 which was the first time he experienced freedom, which he now brags about, he wouldn’t be able to do what he’s doing today. If I had abandoned him in prison at that time, things would be very different,” he added.

The development adds another layer to the already tense situation, with many now waiting on the court to fix a date for the bail hearing and determine the next step in the case.
