Fresh speculation has erupted over the marriage of businessman Olakunle Churchill and actress Rosy Meurer after a cryptic social media post by Churchill fuelled rumours of trouble between the couple.
Rumours began circulating on Friday claiming Rosy had allegedly filed for the dissolution of their marriage, though neither Churchill nor the actress has publicly confirmed the reports.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Churchill shared a message on Instagram that many interpreted as a subtle response to the growing rumours.
“As a father if I am ever in a place where I have to pick between my kids or anyone or anything else… I am picking my kids. Period!!!” he wrote.
The post quickly drew attention online, especially as it came shortly after he shared an emotional video of his son with actress Tonto Dikeh, alongside his daughter, bonding.
In the heartfelt caption, Churchill reflected on fatherhood, healing and the joy of seeing his children share a genuine connection.
“Watching my children love each other the way they do reaches a part of me I can’t fully explain,” he wrote, adding that despite life’s challenges and distance, the bond between them brought him peace.
He continued by stressing that no matter what happens, his children would always come first.
“At the end of the day, I will always choose my children. Every single time. Without hesitation,” he wrote.
The timing of the posts intensified online chatter, particularly after observers noticed Churchill and Rosy Meurer are reportedly no longer following each other on Instagram, a detail that has only deepened speculation about a possible rift.
So far, both Churchill and Rosy have remained silent on the breakup rumours.
The couple got married in 2021 and has often projected a united front publicly, making the latest speculation even more surprising to fans.
The development has also drawn renewed attention to Churchill’s past marriage to actress Tonto Dikeh, which ended in 2017 after a highly publicised fallout.
In recent months, however, Churchill and Tonto appeared to have reached a more peaceful place. In January, Tonto revealed she had forgiven her ex-husband for the sake of peace and their son King Andre’s well-being.
Churchill also publicly acknowledged the progress, praising her as a devoted mother and affirming their commitment to healthy co-parenting.
With Churchill’s cryptic remarks now under scrutiny and his and Rosy Meurer’s silence, fans continue to wonder whether the posts are simply about fatherhood or subtle signs of deeper issues in the marriage.
