Speaking in a candid conversation with Quenlin Blackwell, the 23-year-old singer shared that her decision to avoid high school relationships was rooted in self-awareness and a desire to protect her identity.
“I didn’t date in high school because I didn’t want to be anybody’s ex,” she said, explaining that even at a young age, she was cautious about how relationships could define her. Despite receiving attention, she questioned its intentions. “A lot of guys were trying, and I was like… why are you trying? That means you must have an ulterior motive.”
