Nigerian singer Brymo has made startling claims about an alleged encounter involving music icon 2Baba (formerly 2Face Idibia) and his then-wife, Annie Idibia, and has also opened up about his past relationships with married women.
Speaking during Tuesday’s episode of the NotJustOk Podcast on YouTube, the singer reflected on his early years in the music industry, admitting that some of his experiences taught him difficult but valuable lessons.
Brymo revealed that after his breakthrough in the music industry, he attracted the attention of several older women, some of whom he later discovered were married.
According to him, many claimed they were separated from their husbands, only for him to find out otherwise.
“I met quite a number of older women who were truly married. This goes to younger artistes, stop sleeping with people’s wives. They will cut your life short. They would tell me they were separated from their husbands.”
The singer recounted an incident in which a married woman invited him to perform at her sister’s wedding, then asked him to accompany her to her family home afterward.
Brymo said he initially agreed, but he realized her husband would also be present.
“She said, ‘Our baba will be there.’ I thought she meant her father, but she said, ‘No, my husband.'”
He added that the revelation immediately made him uncomfortable.
“As far as I’m concerned, me going there to perform that night is me opening myself up for some crazy ritual. I just couldn’t take it, so I had to get out.”
Brymo also alleged that he had an unusual encounter with 2Baba and Annie Idibia in 2019.
According to the singer, the incident happened at an office in Lekki Phase 1, where he claimed 2Baba directly asked Annie whether she had ever been romantically involved with him.
He recalled:
“As at 2019, I remember that moment in Naomi’s office in Lekki Phase 1 when 2Face looked me square in the eye and asked Annie, ‘You don f* Brymo?'”**
Brymo added:
“I will never forget it. I am wicked, you people don’t know me.”
As of the time of publication, 2Baba and Annie Idibia have not publicly responded to Brymo’s claims.
The remarks have since sparked widespread discussion on social media, with fans reacting to the singer’s revelations as they await any response from those mentioned.
