Afrobeats superstar Davido has offered fans a glimpse into the scale of his lifestyle, revealing that he spends more than $200,000 on himself every month, excluding what he spends on his family, household and luxury purchases.
The award-winning singer made the revelation during a livestream with content creator Davrel, where he spoke candidly about his personal finances and how his monthly expenses change depending on where he is living.
According to Davido, his spending is significantly lower in the United States, where he enjoys a quieter family life with his wife and children.
However, he explained that his expenses rise sharply whenever he is travelling or actively working, largely because of the demands that come with his career and lifestyle.
Speaking during the livestream, Davido said:
“It depends on my location. I spend less in Yankee because I live with just me, my wife, my kids, but when I’m around, it’s a lot more. Normally, 500, 200, 300K, minus buying jewelry, buying car.. Minus my wife and my household.”
His comments suggest that his monthly personal spending can range from $200,000 to $500,000, depending on his schedule and location, before factoring in major purchases such as luxury cars, expensive jewelry and household expenses.
Davido has long been associated with a lavish lifestyle, frequently sharing glimpses of luxury watches, designer fashion, exotic cars and private jet travel with his millions of followers across social media.
As one of Africa’s biggest music stars, the singer has built a successful career through chart-topping albums, sold-out concerts, endorsement deals and business ventures, making him one of the continent’s highest-earning entertainers.
His latest revelation has since sparked online conversations, with many fans reacting to the enormous amount he says he spends each month.
While some viewed it as a reflection of the financial rewards that come with global success, others were surprised by the scale of the expenses.
Despite the eye-catching figures, Davido noted that life in the United States allows him to spend less, as he is able to focus on family away from the constant demands that often accompany his celebrity status elsewhere.
The singer’s comments provide another insight into the realities of life at the top of the entertainment industry, where maintaining a global brand often entails significant personal and professional costs.
