Fifth Harmony is back at it, and Harmonizers everywhere are on high alert. The group’s official account posted a new teaser this week bearing simply the caption “Happy birthday to us. Next week,” a reference to the fact that the group was formed on The X Factor USA on July 27, 2012, making their 14th anniversary just days away.
The tease follows a pattern the group has leaned into before. Their social media had gone completely silent since 2018, when the group announced an indefinite hiatus, until an August 2025 post reading only “#FifthHarmonyFollowSpree” set the fandom off with speculation.
That teaser turned real fast. Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui, without Camila Cabello, showed up as surprise guests at a Jonas Brothers concert in Texas, performing “Worth It” and “Work From Home” together for the first time in seven years. Their caption afterward said it plainly: it “felt amazing to be back.”
Since then, the reunion conversation has only picked up steam. Multiple outlets have reported the four remaining members are working toward a larger comeback timed to the 10th anniversary of their sophomore album 7/27 and its breakout single “Work From Home,” a track that has since crossed three billion YouTube views.
Reports have also pointed to a possible documentary chronicling the reunion and a tour, with Ally Brooke’s husband, music executive Will Bracey, said to be helping steer the plans. Normani added fuel to the fire in a recent interview, telling Elite Daily that “2026 will be one for the books for Fifth Harmony.”
The elephant in the room remains Camila Cabello. She left the group in 2016 to launch a solo career that produced global hits like “Havana” and “Señorita,” and every indication so far suggests she is not part of whatever this new chapter looks like. She was not tagged in the latest teaser, mirroring her absence from the Jonas Brothers surprise last year.
She has, however, shown public support for her former groupmates since that performance, a gesture that reads as goodwill without necessarily meaning reconciliation on stage.
What exactly “next week” brings is still unclear. It could be new music, a formal tour announcement, documentary details, or simply another surprise appearance built to keep the momentum from last year’s teaser alive.
Given how precisely Fifth Harmony has timed every move so far, from the anniversary of their formation to the milestone attached to 7/27, whatever comes next is unlikely to be an accident.
For now, the countdown is on. Fourteen years since four strangers were put together on a reality show stage, and the Harmonizers are once again waiting to see what these women decide to hand them.
