The popular Comedian, actor and TV presenter Ayo Makun took to his Instagram page to express that Celebrities Who Gives to the Society Are to Be Encouraged and Not Insulted.
a view he shared based on how people criticize the kind gestures of celebrities instead of encouraging them.
The comedian said that many people always find fault when celebrities do things for society
whether they publish it on their social media pages or not.
Many times, celebrities have been called out on various social media platforms for being
aloof to serious situations in the country and when celebrities respond to these situations,
some people still find a way to criticize them.
Noting his disappointment at this attitude, AY urged people to do better.
“When celebrities give to people in need without letting you know anything about it,
you say to them “All you Yeyebrities are busy posting pictures of your houses
when your mates are doing a lot to help people who are hungry out there”.
When we respond by letting you know how we have been doing a whole lot to help,
some of you ask for proofs by saying
” Please don’t come here and tell us how you’ve been helping people with what we can’t see or confirm”.
When we now give and let you in our business, you come to us again and call it ‘showoff’,” he said.
The actor noted that people tend to celebrate companies who announce their good deeds to the world but attack celebrities who do the same.
AY said that they are told to do it quietly, adding that they do not have to know on social
media.
He urged people to criticize constructively without making a waste of the efforts of others.
He advised everyone to make it their responsibility in changing the things they don’t like by encouraging each other respectfully.
