The world’s largest online encyclopedia, Wikipedia has deleted the page of the recently arrested Nigerian Instagram celebrity, Raymond Hushpuppi.
The Popular Instagram Nigerian Celebrity, Ramoni Igbalode, popularly known as
Hushpuppi is facing multiple issues since his arrest by the Dubai police.
Hushpuppi ‘s profile which was on wikipedia just got deleted amidst his crisis,
the Nigerian born acclaimed entrepreneur got arrested over fraudulent charges of which is money laundering amongst other charges.
Hushpuppi and his counterpart Woodberey were arrested on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in the United Arab Emirates in connection with a $35m ventilator scam.
He was later extradited to the United States and is still being held for fraud and money laundering by Interpol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.
He has a lawyer who has been working tirelessly to get his clients freedom secured.
Gal Pissetzky who is the lawyer, claimed his client was illegally arrested and
kidnapped by the FBI.
The lawyer tried getting Hushpuppi bail but it was denied.
The case is still ongoing and lots of Nigerians who have been working legitimately
want him prosecuted, because it is believed he has made Nigeria have more bad
reputation and getting jobs outside Nigeria harder.
