Multiple award winning Nigerian singer and rapper, Olamide Adedeji, better known as Olamide Badoo has revealed the depression woes that led him to drugs and alcohol addiction.
Olamide is without any doubt one of the greatest artiste the entertainment industry
has ever seen and despite all he has been able to achieve in his musical career,
he has also been forced to face some personal challenges which led to
him becoming a drug addict.
The rapper poured his heart out in his current album, ‘Carpe Diem’ as he spoke
about the chronic depression he battled with that made him a temporal drug addict.
He featured Bella Shumurda in one of his tracks, ‘Triumphant’ where he disclosed in
the song his father’s death nearly made him an alcoholic and a drug addict.
This in English, “I smoked and drank alcohol every night, I had thoughts every night. All my struggles and rush, my parents are gone and I just have to move on with life.”
Olamide have however been able to move on from the death of his parents and has continue dishing out the very best of music to his fans across the globe.
