Omah Lay and Tems arraigned in court for flouting COVID-19 guidelines in Uganda

Fast-rising Nigerian singers Tems and Omah Lay have finally arrive in Nigeria following some devastating days in Uganda that saw them arrested and detained.



It would be recalled that the whole entertainment industry was put in

fear and agony when the news of Omah Lay and Tems being arrested in Uganda surfaced on social media.

Both singers who had gone to Uganda to perform at a concert was arrested alongside

their manager as they were accused of defying the Covid-19 pandemic guidelines


that ban the gathering of people in the country.



Both superstars were arraigned in court and this sparked an online protest from Nigerians including top personalities in all walk of life.

With their release finally granted some days ago, both singers have arrive in Nigeria, a move that will surely be celebrated by their fans.

This was made known by the Chairman/CEO of Nigerian Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa via a post on her official Twitter account.

Sharing their pictures, she tweeted:
