Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy has achieved another outstanding international feat as his single ‘Ye’ became the fastest Nigerian song to be certified ‘Gold’ by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).
The talented singer and songwriter took to his official Instagram account to share the joyous news with fans and followers.
‘Ye’ is a single off Burna Boy’s hit album ‘Outside’ and the singer appreciated fans who have been supporting his brand ever since the song was released.
Burna Boy has now joined Davido and Wizkid in the list of Nigerian artists that have seen their singles certified Gold by RIAA.
However, Burna Boy’s ‘Ye’ became the fastest Nigerian song to be certified ‘Gold’ as it took him only 1001 days.
It took Wizkid 1091 days to have his hit song ‘Come Closer‘ to get certified while Davido’s ‘Fall’ and ‘If’ took 1091 and 1456 days respectively.
Burna Boy will be eager to continue the good form that has seen him become one of the most sorts after talent in world music.
