Watch moment cleaners were scooping water out of the National Assembly (video)

The National Assembly earlier today was flooded with rainwater due to a leaking roof.

There was a heavy rain downpour in the early hours of today around different areas in Abuja, which left the lobby of the National Assembly which was built 27 years ago flooded.

The plenary was delayed for few hours as cleaners had a hectic time scooping out the water. This is coming after lawmakers resumed on Tuesday, after a one-week break to mark the end of their second legislative year.
