Veteran Nigerian comedian and actress, Adekola Adekanya, popularly known as Princess, has revealed how she turned down Baba Ijesha’s advances towards her.
Princess made this revelation today, July 26, before the Lagos State Special Offences Court in the Ikeja area on Monday.
Recall that Baba Ijesha is being tried on a six-count charge which includes sexual assault by penetration, indecent treatment of a child, and sexual assault. (Read Details Here).
With the drama still raising eyebrows on and off social media, Princess stated that she met Baba Ijesha in 2008 at an event and the two decided to start making comedy skits together.
Princess claimed Baba Ijesha wooed her in the process of their work relationship but she rejected his proposal.
However, she got close to the Baba Ijesha afterward, especially after her marriage crashed around 2013.
Princess who has been supported by some actress like Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh also claimed that she invested in Baba Ijesha’s education and the actor visited her at home thereafter.
Baba Ijesha’s reaction to the claims has not been reported at the time of filing this report.
He was represented by Babatunde Ogala SAN, amongst others while the prosecutor, the Lagos State Government, was represented by Olayinka Adeyemi.
