Yoruba Nation: Sunday Igboho to remain in Police Cell as Cotonou court adjourns hearing

Sunday Igboho’s lawyer demands N500m compensation and apology from FG

Leader of the Yoruba nation, Sunday Igboho whose real name is Sunday Adeyemo has been remanded in Beninese Police Cell in the Benin Republic.

This came after the Court D’Appeal in Cotonou adjourned the case involving the Yoruba rights activist till Friday, July 23, 2021.

Igboho and his wife have been in custody since their arrest at the Cardinal Bernardin International airport, Cotonou, as they attempted to board a flight to Germany on Monday.




Meanwhile, his wife has been released following orders from the court after she was arrested alongside her husband.
