Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Your Eye’ housemate, Angel has opened up on one of the reasons she’s featuring at the ongoing reality show, noting that family toxicity played a huge role.
Angel has continued to trend on and off social media and despite that she’s been facing backlash from some fans, others have been supporting her.
The 21-year-old has now revealed what she went through before she decided to decide to take part in the ongoing reality show.
According to Angel while speaking with Queen, her family were not there for her emotionally when she lost her boyfriend to the cold hands of death.
Angel noted that she’s always on the move trying to stay far away from her toxic family, adding that she came to the BBNaija reality show for stability.
In her words:
“Emotionally my family wasn’t there for me when my boyfriend di*d… My house was toxic, that’s why I’m here. I came here for stability.
I was always on the move trying to remove myself from my toxic family, I couldn’t explain to people that I was running away from them.
They put me through so much because I’m only 21. They provided money but I’m smart enough to know that money is the least of a child’s problem, I mean it’s important but there’s so much more… you have to invest emotionally and mentally and those two things they did not give me…
I mean I wore the best clothes, ate the best food, went to best of schools BUT the key important thing is not so much to ask.
My mum thought she was trying her best and I appreciate her. She was the one that encouraged me to go for the show…
I’m just looking for stability and to be away from all the toxic sh*t that I went through on my own.”
Angel’s revelation is coming just hours after her mother revealed that she allowed her daughter to join the show after her failed attempt.
She also issued a stern warning to fans who are trolling her daughter, insisting that she will abuse them before using the block button, (Read Details Here).
