Popular Nigerian singer, songwriter and activist, Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz has taken to social media to mourn the death of youths that was killed at Lekki Tollgate on October 20, 2020.
It would be recalled that what started as a peaceful protest turned into a bloody contest when some youths were gunned down at the Lekki Tollgate.
Youths who were protesting against police brutality and bad governance were left mourning and it remains one of the darkest days in the history of Nigeria, (Watch Video Here).
Falz was one of the top personalities in the entertainment industry who played a huge role during the protest.
One year after the dark night, Falz has taken to his official social media platforms to commemorate with victims of the protest.
The talented singer and songwriter captioned a picture that had the date of the massacre with a message that reads:
365 days ago, Nigerian citizens were shot and killed at the toll gate by our own military men.
Today we honour them because they have sacrificed their very existence for a cause bigger than all of us.
They live forever in our hearts ?
We will never ever forget ❤️✊?
Top personalities in all walks of life have also joined in the remembrance as they hope things change for good in the country.
