Media Personality Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi took to her social media page to lament after a brand inflated its price because of her status as a celebrity.
The ever outspoken Media personality and former OAP revealed she reached out to a bespoke brand via social media to inquire about the price of a dress she wanted to buy, she was told 45k.
So out of curiosity she had a friend ask about the same dress and was shocked the friend got a price for 40k.
Gbemi felt some type of way about it and asked why would she get a higher price, even though it’s just a 5k difference.

Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi was a Nigerian broadcaster at The Beat 99.9 FM, entrepreneur and co-host of the “Off-Air with Gbemi & Toolz” podcast. Gbemi is the granddaughter of the late Olowo of Owo Sir Olateru-Olagbegi II KBE. In 2008, Gbemi won the on-air personality of the year at the Future Awards Africa.
In 2018 she got married to her husband, Femisoro Ajayi who is the manager of the popular artiste Falz the Bad guy, in 2021, Gbemi announced her retirement from her job as an OAP for Beat 99 FM after spending over two decades in the business. She currently owns her own shoe brand, which she has been running for over 3 years now.
