Popular Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, often known by his stage as AY, rejoices at his most recent success.
A father of two from the UK shared his delight at being invited to the political conference on sustainable development at the UN in New York.
He shared the good news by announcing that his film Almajiri had received 27 nominations.
He intended to show the film in the UK for the heads of state.
He further appreciated the UN and the founder and CEO of Southern Africa Embrace Foundation for the opportunity. He wrote:
“IT WAS GOOD TO HAVE BEEN PART OF THE HIGH LEVEL POLITICAL FORUM ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AT UNITED NATIONS IN NEW YORK.
“I AM ALSO VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE 27 NOMINATIONS OF #ALMAJIRITHEMOVIE. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE ANOTHER SITUATION TO LOOK AT AFTER SCREENING THE MOVIE TO SOME OF THE WORLD LEADERS HERE.
