Dakota Mayi Johnson was (born October 4, 1989), in Austin, Texas.As the daughter of Hollywood’s top actors, Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, it may sound like a childhood dream come true to grow up in an acting household. However, her parents divorced when she was young, and both had severe drug problems.

Her mother Melanie became well-known for her part in the 1988 picture Working Girl, while her father Don played James Crockett in the Miami Vice hit TV series of the 1980s.

Dakota’s father, Don, was filming The Hot Spot when she was born. She is not only the granddaughter of Tippi Hedren, who played a career-defining part in the 1960s film The Birds but also the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.
