Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor who now doubles as a director, is currently dealing with outrage over a tweet he made just after fast-rising musician Daniel Benson, aka BNXN (formerly Buju), was detained and physically attacked by the police.
Recall that the musician was seen in a video from a few hours earlier arguing with some police officers. Before they appeared to lose their composure and descend on the police officer, BNXN was claimed to have spat on the officer. Watch the video here.
Yul Edochie took his to Twitter to apparently weigh in on the issue, argued that lack of humility is what brings about such embarrassment.
He wrote:
“I do road trips a lot, I’ve met so many policemen on the road & they’ve never harassed me before. The secret is humility. All that ‘don’t you know me’ attitude, keep it aside. You’re a citizen just like everyone else. Once you humble yourself na policemen go hail you pass.”
While some tweeps agreed with him, others stated that he will be a victim of assault soon.
