Nigerians have taken to social media to criticise the choice of American actor and comedian, Anthony Anderson, to co-host Nigeria’s biggest entertainment industry award, Headies 2022, with actress Osas Ighodaro.
The awards show was held on Sunday in Atlanta, US.
Some Nigerians feel the organisers of Headies should have used as co-host one who has a good knowledge of African artistes.
Some said Trevor Noah could have handled the show based on the knowledge he possess of the African music industry.
They accused Anderson of making a joke of Headies from the start of the show to the end.
