Globally recognized singer and performing artiste, Christopher Maurice Brown, professionally known as Chris Brown has reacted to the 2022 Headies Awards recognition.
The multiple award winning musician and entertainer who has worked with a number of Afrobeats acts including Wizkid, Davido, Ayo Jay, Rema, Lojay, among others bagged a nomination in the ‘International Artiste Of The Year’ category.
The ‘International Artiste Of The Year’ cateory happens to be a new voting award category for a non-African artiste or group with the most outstanding achievement and impact on Afrobeats.
Chris Brown who was nominated alongside international stars like Beyonce, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber and Nas was declared the winner at the 15th Headies which was held at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, United States on 4th September into the early hours of Monday, September 5.
Taking to his verified Instagram handle (Insta-story), the ‘With You’ hit-maker shared a flyer confirming his win and also acknowledged the organizers with emojis which signifies appreciation.
