Chiké, an Afropop singer and songwriter from Nigeria, has admitted selling his car, which has led to rumors of “financial struggle.”
Although the artist explained why he had sold the Mercedes Benz, many of his fans were still concerned.
The musician, who is well known for his fantastic love songs, said on Twitter that he sold his Mercedes-Benz GLE to fund the promotion of his most recent album.
He shared receipts which showed that he sold the luxury ride for a whooping eleven million naira (N11, 000,000).
Jokingly, he informed curious fans not to pay attention to him if they see him trekking the streets of Lekki, Lagos. In reaction, some fans prayed his sacrifice will be worth it, others urged him on.
Chike wrote:
“Just Sold my Gle I spoke about in my album to sponsor the music. If you see me de Waka for lekki please ignore sogbo?”
