Early Life
Deyemi Okanlawon (born April 19, 1979, 46 years old), in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, to Adeyemi Okanlawon, an Aircraft Engineer, and Adeyinka Okanlawon, a baker and entrepreneur. He attended Taikenny Nursery and Primary School in Lagos for his primary education and International School in Lagos for his secondary education.
He later studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Lagos in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a former baker, sales, and marketing executive with a Certificate in Film Acting from the New York Film Academy.
Career
Okanlawon’s first acting experience came at age five when he appeared in an ‘end-of-year’ play while in primary school. Okanlawon appeared in a nationally syndicated television commercial with Kunle Bamtefa when he was nine.
Okanlawon was a member of the drama groups Gf(x) (Harvesters Company), Xtreme Reaction, and Snapshots at the University of Lagos (Covenant Christian Centre).

Actor Deyemi Okanlawon made his feature film debut in the 2010 film ZR-7, following a short film titled A Grain of Wheat. He went on to appear in and co-produce many more short films, and by 2012, he was well-known for his roles in made-for-Internet short films and web series such as Blink, 6:30 pm, and Knock Knock.
He changed careers in 2013 to focus solely on acting and has since appeared in over 50 film credits, 8 stage credits, OLX and GLO Television commercials, and music videos for Waje and Aramide.
He has also appeared in films such as Greg Odutayo’s “Beyond Blood,” which starred Joseph Benjamin and Kehinde Bankole; Pascal Amanfo’s If Tomorrow Never Comes, which starred Yvonne Nelson; Ishaya Bako’s Road To Yesterday, ” which starred Genevieve Nnaji and Majid Michel, and Pascal Amanfo’s No Man’s Land, ” which starred Adjetey Anang.

For his role as a psychotic husband in the thriller Blink, he won Best Actor in a Short Film at the In-Short Film Festival in 2013. He took the Acting for Film course in collaboration with the New York Film Academy.
Deyemi established Covenant Entertainment Services, a production and talent management firm, in 2015 and quickly became a consultant to Silverbird Film Distribution.
In 2019, he began his career as a marketing manager at Silverbird Distribution, rose to head Nollywood and independent movie distribution, and subsequently took over the company’s operations as acting CEO.
