I slept with my 50 year old boss for promotion and don’t regret my decision

A 25-year-old man has stated that he does not regret sleeping with her 50-year-old boss in exchange for a promotion.

He stated,

I slept with my boss in exchange for a promotion, and I’m glad I did.

My situation is a little different than most people’s because I wasn’t a young girl being groomed by a creep, but it’s still slightly unethical, and I’ve only told a few of my friends about it, so I thought I’d share.

When I was 22 I started working at a specific company right out of college in one of their regional branches. My boss, Maria [60F], had been working there a long a time. We weren’t exactly close, but we did work together closely and she had a particular fondness for me because she would always say that I looked exactly like her husband did when he was my age (they were college sweethearts).

Anyways, two years after I started working there Maria’s husband died from some sort of illness. Naturally she was devastated and to my knowledge, never really moved on. A year after he died, when I was 25, we were leaving a work party one night when she asked me to give her a ride home. I said sure because it was on my way there and when we arrived, she invited me inside for a drink.

I wasn’t gonna say no to my boss and we ended up having quite a few drinks. She ended up confiding in me about how lonely she was and how she missed having a man around the house. I listened to her some more and she offered to let me sleep in the guest room so I wouldn’t have to drive home intoxicated.

Anyways, the next morning she made me breakfast and then sat down all serious and said she had a proposition and that she had thought long and hard about it after I went to bed. She asked me to sleep with her and said that if I did she would put in a good word for me with some higher-ups in the company. She didn’t guarantee me a promotion, but she said that she could also offer me some other benefits like more PTO or company offerings. She stressed that if I said no, nothing would happen and we could just forget she even asked.

I thought about it over a few days and finally decided to go for it. She wasn’t unattractive and overall it was a decent experience. We slept together in total 6 times over the course of about 4 months. She kept her word and put in a good word for me and now I’ve been promoted to a much better position at a different branch. My life overall is so much better and my position is one that many people my age would need to work a longer time to achieve. We don’t see each other anymore because I work at a different branch now, but I’m thankful for the opportunity she gave me.
