Manchester United defeated Manchester City 2-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.
United were beaten 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium in the first Manchester derby of the season in October, with two late goals from Anthony Martial, who started today’s match despite being a pre-game doubt.
However, Martial was ineffective in the first half as both teams attempted to break the deadlock. He was replaced at halftime by Antony, but it was the visitors who struck first in the 58th minute through Jack Grealish.
Although City appeared to be in control after taking the lead, the Old Trafford crowd urged United to respond, and Bruno Fernandes equalized in the 78th minute, which was quickly followed by a goal from Marcus Rashford.
In the Premier League table, United is now only one point behind City.
