Reactions have followed actress Iyabo Ojo’s post as she selects a gubernatorial candidate in Lagos state.

Iyabo Ojo took to Instagram to express her support for the Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, or GRV.

Iyabo Ojo, who claimed her political choice was her right, backed the Labour Party’s GRV because he is a true Lagosian.

She wrote, “Son of the soil….. omo eko gangan ….. remain blessed & highly favoured @grvlagos 🙏🙏.

“Please vote & support your own choice in peace.

“Let the best man win, A better Lagos is what we pray for, no fight, no hate.”

Iyabo Ojo’s declaration made celebrities such as Ngozi Nwosu, Peter Okoye, and Chioma, among others, drum support for her choice of candidate.

Veteran actress Ngozi Nwosu wrote, “Oseyyy omo gidi.”

Amidst these, some fans express displeasure with Iyabo Ojo’s choice, claiming her candidate was chosen based on emotions.

One Tohab wrote, “Sha don’t use emotions vote, remember how we thought buhari was an angel 🤔 see where we are today, everything no be para😮show me or tell me about any state in this Nigeria better than Lagos state 🤔 sometimes let us face realities Apc are trying in Lagos, your candidate your right I agree ooooo Lagos state isn’t a state we can use emotions to scatter ooooo, most of us go suffer am,IRE OOOO make enjoy my blocking in peace”

Another user Uchelico wrote: What’s his antecedents though. This your choice is based on emotions o. Obi is better as president doesn’t make all LP members the best. Experience counts, Lagos is too big fir anyone to start learning work with.

Iyabo Ojo analyzes Lagos state gubernatorial choice

Recall that some days ago Iyabo Ojo disclosed how difficult it had been for her to decide whom to vote for among the governorship candidates in Lagos State.

The actress analyzed the three top candidates: All Progressives Congress’ Sanwo Olu, Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour and Peoples Democratic Party’s Olajide Jandor.

In an extensive Instagram post, Iyabo Ojo claimed she would not be driven by emotions to choose her candidate because she wants the betterment of the state.
