Seun Kuti was reportedly paraded alongside other detainees of the Panti Police facility days after allegedly assaulting a police officer in uniform.
A viral photo showed the son of Fela Kuti, the famed Afrobeats pioneer, sitting with some inmates when they were being apprehended.
According to reports accompanying the photo, the afrobeat artist was denied access to a nice dinner due to his refusal to make a statement.
Many people who reacted to the photo said it was manipulated to make it appear as if the musician was being punished, while others claimed it was an attempt to embarrass him.
