Seun Kuti, an Afrobeat singer, has expressed gratitude to his legal team for facilitating his release from police prison.
Seun was released late Tuesday after being detained by police since May 15.
On May 13, the singer was arrested and jailed at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba, Lagos State, for reportedly assaulting a uniformed police officer.
Seun thanked his wife, legal team, and everyone who expressed empathy for him while he was in police detention on Instagram.
”I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends that showed up! Thanks most especially to my beautiful wife @chef yeidikuti,” he wrote.
