Following Guinness World Records’ disclosure of their silence over Nigerian chef Dammy’s 120-hour cook-a-thon attempt, the chef has responded.
Prior to trying to beat her countrywoman Hilda Baci’s cooking record, Dammy, according to the record body, did not file an application, CREEBHILLS previously reported.
The Ekiti Chef responded by acknowledging on her official Facebook page that her 120-hour cook-a-thon was not intended to break any records, but rather to test her abilities. She was thrilled that she had persevered.
She wrote;
“I stated this earlier that I embarked on this journey to test my capability not for any GWR..
l am happy that I cooked for 120 hours. I am proud that I never gave up”

As soon as Dammy announced the commencement of her cook-a-thon in Ekiti state, she started to garner media attention.
The chef persisted till she completed the work despite facing significant criticism from Nigerians for stealing Hilda Baci’s idea.
Chef Hilda Baci also tweeted support for Chef Dammy’s cook-a-thon
