Fabrizio Romano, a popular football journalist, has revealed that Real Madrid stars Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo have altered their jersey number ahead of the 2023/2024 season, which means they will be wearing a completely different squad number next season.
Vinicius and Rodrygo Goes had worn jersey numbers 20 and 21 for the Spanish Giant in recent years, but owing to their performances, they have been granted permission to move to new jersey numbers.
Vinicius Junior, a 22-year-old Brazilian winger, will wear jersey number 7 next season, according to Fabrizio Romano. The legendary number 7 was previously worn by club luminaries such as Raul and Cristiano Ronaldo. Hazard too wore the historic number but failed to make an impact.
Due to the departure of Eden Hazard from the club this summer, Vini have decided to pick it up and the club have given him the permission to go ahead. Rodrygo on the other hand will reportedly be wearing the Jersey number 11 come next season.
Ever since Gareth Bale left the club some couple of years back, The Jersey number 11 have been vacant and Rodrygo Goes will be the new owner starting from next season.
