Emeka Akumefule, better known by his stage name Blaqbonez, a hip-hop artist from Nigeria, has claimed that Lagos State is a place where “true love” does not exist.
The statement was made by the ‘Sex Over Love’ crooner during a recent interview with well-known podcaster Fay Fay.
The state of Lagos, according to Blaqbonez, is devoid of true love; he claims to have witnessed it in the states of Nasarawa and Adamawa as well as in a little amount of Akwa Ibom.
He said, “I have seen true love in other states. You know, like Nasarawa, Yola [Adamawa]… I think I have seen a little bit in Akwa Ibom, but I have never witnessed it in Lagos.”
Blaqbonez, in February last year, unveiled his girlfriend, Gbemi Daniel, via his social media pages, stating that it feels wrong to continue to hide her from the world as she was there when nobody else was there for him.
