Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has responded to the ₦2 billion defamation lawsuit filed against him by fellow rapper Blaqbonez, insisting he stands by his allegations and will not retract his statements.
The response comes shortly after Blaqbonez initiated legal proceedings, accusing Odumodublvck of defamation and seeking damages for alleged injury to his reputation and commercial interests.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Odumodublvck rejected the defamation claim, maintaining that his comments were truthful.
He wrote:
“I STAND ON IT. THIS IS NOT DEFAMATION.
YOU ARE A SEXUAL ABUSER. YOU DID IT.”
The rapper further claimed that multiple legal notices would not change his position.
“JUST BECAUSE YOU GIVE A HUNDRED BLOGS TO POST YOUR 10TH PETITION TO ME, DOES NOT MEAN I WILL CHANGE MY STANCE.”
Odumodublvck also questioned why earlier petitions allegedly filed against him had not succeeded.
He added:
“IF I WAS WRONG WHY HAVE YOUR 9 OTHER PETITIONS TO ME FAILED?
YOU ARE GUILTY.”
The latest statement marks a significant escalation in the dispute between the two rappers.
Blaqbonez’s legal team is seeking:
- ₦2 billion in general damages for alleged reputational harm.
- A declaration that Odumodublvck’s statements are defamatory.
- A court order restraining him from making or publishing further defamatory statements.
The legal correspondence alleges that the publications have caused injury to Blaqbonez’s reputation, goodwill and commercial standing.
By publicly reaffirming the allegations despite the lawsuit, Odumodublvck has indicated he intends to defend his statements rather than retract them.
As of the time of publication, Blaqbonez has not publicly responded to Odumodublvck’s latest remarks, and the allegations made by both parties remain unproven in court.
The legal dispute is expected to attract significant attention within Nigeria’s entertainment industry as it progresses.
