Father DMW, a well-known Nigerian comedian, has described how he used a woman’s disguise to flee from Maiduguri, Borno State, to Lagos in order to avoid being converted by the terrorist organisation Boko Haram.
He claimed that while the terrorists were on the rampage, pushing and equipping young males to join their cause, he managed to flee by dressing as a woman and donning a headscarf.
This was revealed by Father DMW in a recent Vanzu TV interview.
The Instagram personality claimed that any young man who refused to join the group was killed by the militants.
He claimed that after moving to Lagos, he started riding a bike and that the famous artist Davido, for whom he performed, was the source of his fame.
Speaking in Pidgin English, he said, “Boko Haram dem go and kill everybody. Like me, if dem see me, they just give me gun, if I never follow them, they will now start to kill me.
“When they entered, I wear hijab like woman. Do make up, put breasts, y*nsh, everything to escape. Because if they know say you be man, if dem commot that hijab, no be shoot dem go shoot you o, na knife dem go cut you.”

To avoid being indoctrinated into the Boko Haram terrorist group, Father DMW had to dress up as a woman to flee from Maiduguri to Lagos.
In Lekki Lagos, he became a commercial bike rider (okada man) and found himself running errands for Davido and team.
