More than 140,000 automobiles are being recalled in the US by German luxury automaker Mercedes.
The company provided a justification, stating that it was because of fuel pump issues.
Up to 143,551 cars manufactured between 2021 and 2023 may be impacted, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the United States said on Friday in Washington.
The cars include variations of the C, E, and S-Class as well with the SUV subtypes GLC, GLE, and GLS. There is also a list of G-Class SUVs.
Dealers would replace the fuel pump free of charge, the NHTSA said. A malfunction of the pump could increase the risk of an accident, according to the regulator.
