Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator and human rights campaigner, said that Nigerians will soon order the Federal Government to leave them in poverty.
According to the Chairman of Hand in Hand Africa, the previous administration made a number of promises, and the current administration is following suit.
Previous administrations pledged to raise Nigerians out of poverty but failed, and the current administration is promising the same thing, according to Shehu Sani.
Recall that the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alletion, Betta Edu, had assured Nigerians that the Federal Government has taken it upon itself to lift 133 million citizens out of poverty in this administration. She added that the initiatives and different interventions that will help allete poverty is through the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Edu’s word reads: “What is most important is that we will keep our focus on lifting 133 million Nigerians out of poverty.”
Meanwhile, Sen. Shehu Sani has reacted to the promises made by the minister his official Twitter page saying that it is the same promises the previous governments have been making so it is not new anymore.
