Andre Onana, the new Manchester United goalkeeper, has spoken out about the goal he conceded today against Lens in a friendly game at Old Trafford.
Manchester United defeated Lens 3-1 at Old Trafford, but the game’s primary talking point was Onana, who was caught almost 20 yards off his line in Len’s first goal.
In a post-match interview on Manchester United TV, Onana admitted that the fault was his, and he will personally accept responsibility for everything. According to his own words
“Great experience, so happy to play here. A great welcome for me, very warm. I’m happy, especially the victory.”
The former Ajax goalkeeper will now hope the win gives him confidence heading into the new season and the blunder today will not repeat itself in the coming weeks.
