Manchester United have denied claims of attempting to conceal allegations of Antony assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, in a hotel have been strongly denied by the club.
Gabriela has accused the 23-year-old of headbutting and punching her on January 14th of this year, just a day after a league match against Manchester City.
She claims to have suffered a head injury and damage to a breast implant as a result. Antony has already refuted these allegations on social media and has given a statement to the police.
However, according to Cavallin, United sent a player support officer to the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Manchester, where the incident allegedly took place, and her legal team alleges that a club doctor was called to assess her condition in order to avoid a public hospital visit.
In response to the accusations, United have told Mirror Sport: “Any suggestion that the club covered-up these allegations is categorically false.”
