Lady who travelled to Canada on student visa stranded as friend fails to pick her up

A Ghanaian woman visiting Canada is in a pickle when a friend who promised to host her failed to pick her up at the airport.

She said that the buddy had promised to stay at her house ahead of time, but when she got at the airport, the friend was nowhere to be found.

Ghanaian influencer, James Annor Tetteh, popularly known as Nana Tea shared the cry for help the lady sent him via his WhatsApp.

It read …

“I came to Canada as an international student. A friend promised me a stay at her end upon arrival so that I can take time to look for accommodation. I got to the airport, and she refused to pick up my calls. I am in a hotel, but the cost is too much. Please can you post it on your page if I can get help with accommodation?”

The influencer revealed that he had received similar messages the previous month from others.

“This is the fifth time I have gotten this type of case in less than three months. Please, those friends promising their friends a short stay, and when they get there, they won’t answer their phones or switch off their phones, should kindly stop it. You put these people through a lot,” Nana Tea wrote.Screenshot 20230926 040807.jpgFB IMG 1695698707255.jpg
