JUST IN: NLC to commence nationwide strike, announces date

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC said on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, that it will begin a two-day warning strike because it believed the government had not done enough to mitigate the impact of the elimination of subsidies for Premium Motor Spirit, more commonly known as petrol.

The labour centre organised a countrywide demonstration earlier in August against the Bola Tinubu administration’s alleged “anti-poor” policies towards Nigerians.
