During the UEFA awards ceremony, Erling Haaland, the prominent Manchester City striker, expressed his fondness for when his manager, Pep Guardiola, shouts at him.
Haaland, who was named the Premier League Players’ Player for the 2022-2023 season, later received the prestigious UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award, surpassing Lionel Messi and Kevin De Bruyne.
Reflecting on his exceptional season, the Norwegian striker highlighted his crucial role in helping Manchester City achieve the European treble, scoring an impressive 52 goals in 53 games.
Despite only being three games into the new Premier League season, Haaland has already netted three goals.
The incident where Guardiola berated Haaland during their match against Burnley was brought up, and Haaland addressed it during the awards ceremony.
“Sometimes Pep is a bit scary, I have to say,” he replied talkSPORT.
“But my father can also be a bit scary.
“But anyways this is something I like, I like it when Pep shouts at me…
“So I like it, I’m not complaining at all.”
