It has been reported by multiple sources that Rema, a popular Nigerian singer, has had his upcoming show in Ethiopia cancelled.
The event was originally scheduled to take place on September 9, 2023, at the Sheraton Hotel in Addis Abeba.
However, rumors suggest that the hotel’s management decided to postpone the performance due to religious concerns.
The cancellation of Rema‘s show in Ethiopia can be attributed to his recently released necklace, which featured an image of an upside-down church on fire and inverted crosses.
These religious symbols led to accusations of the musician practicing devil worship.
Recently, a woman from Ethiopia shared her thoughts about the postponed concert during an appearance as a guest on Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze’s Instagram live program.
She claims that a press release was actually issued to that effect since Rema’s jewellery raised questions about his possible demon worship.
Her words are:
“They made a statement, like a press release in Ethiopia about Rema. Yes, you can imagine, it’s a very big deal.
“They’re basically saying he is worshipping the devil because of what he has on his neck. And to be honest, I never thought of it myself. And there’s more to it; to be honest.”
